I’ve been having a lot of fun with my iPhone this weekend. Wedding season is over and my cameras are put away (for now), but I still need to capture! I downloaded some really nifty apps for my iPhone and have been creating little works of art since.
Below are 3 images from a bike race yesterday in Canton, MA. And the other 3 are random finds from the road on my bike ride this afternoon.

A most bodacious Newport e-session.

After my wedding in the LA area I drove up to San Francisco, through Big Sur. I figured, why not! I hadn’t ever been north of LA and was anxious to see as much of that part of California as I could.
From LA I drove through the Hollywood hills, Santa Monica and Venice, Santa Barbara, Big Sur, Monterey (sadly, it was dark by the time I got to Monterey) and into San Fran. What an awesome drive it was! And I did all this driving in, what northern CA called, the “Epic storm in nearly half a Century.” Torrential rains, gusty winds up to 60mph, and fog. My day of site seeing in San Fran was soggy and chilly, but I saw all the sites and fell in love with the city, despite flooding streets, and trees cracking and falling to the sidewalks below.
Side note: Please, cut up plastics before putting them in the trash. Try to be as good to the earth, and it’s creatures, as you possibly can. The poor seal in the last photo of this entry has cuts on his neck from a plastic strap.

A beautiful wedding at a really cute location in Long Beach, California. I was so happy to be a part of this wedding! The clients were referred to me by my friend Britney who was unable to shoot the wedding herself because she was a maid of honor at the event.
The funny backstory to this wedding was that I actually went ring shopping with Britney and Andrew last summer! It was just by chance that I was there, as I was staying with Britney for a few days to shoot a wedding in LA, and that was the only time Britney and Andrew could sneak in a ring shopping date. I didn’t meet Sara until the morning of her wedding, in her sexy blue satin robe that said “Bride” on the back.
Thanks to Joe Rumore, who was at the wedding with Britney, and second shot some of the day for fun, and to help out a bit when the timeline went a bit off schedule (as they always do). Hey, a photographer can never really put their camera down, can they?

And finally, Britney and Joe

A rock-tabulous wedding at Belle Mer, Newport. The band, and the DJ, kept the dance floor packed, even though all the dinner courses. Did anyone even eat? I have no idea, but I do know that everyone had a great time with Elissa and Anthony!
Band: World Premier Band
DJ: On-Beat Music Entertainment (he actually was spinning vinyl, very cool!)

I had fun playing with off camera flash. Thanks to my photo pal Stacey Doyle, who was at the wedding with me and brought her gear along.

Hopefully you have already seen the gorgeous bridge and fire pit shot from Lauren and Scott’s wedding, posted a week or so ago (if not scroll down to view). Now, here are more! It was an amazing day, and the weather was perfect, especially for July with this crazy summer we are having with weather.

More on Lauren and Scott’s wedding, which took place at Belle Mer, to come soon. I actually just got home about an hour ago and finished downloading all the images a few minutes ago, but I absolutely could not wait to post this one image! My favorite of the day.

Today I drove up to Fitchburg, MA to photograph the Longsjo Classic Criterium. What a blast it was! I watched a few races, but wasn’t able to stay and watch the men’s and women’s pro races, maybe next year.
Images and descriptions:
The women’s category waiting at the sideline for their turn as they watch the men’s team go round and round on the short course.

Women’s category watching the men battle it out on the course.

Images of the men’s categories.

And my favorite image

This email made my day
Thank you, Walter, for letting me share it.

Kristin,
I just want you to know as the father of the bride and the proud caretaker of the farm, I think you did an amazing job capturing the moment in your photographs. Your talent is quite obvious, and that requires an eye and a heart. So, well done. I don’t know if I shared with you, but the wedding that Cathie and I had on the farm 32 years ago, on the same weekend in June was to be captured by a good friend of mine who volunteered to be the photographer, but when he got to the farm on that day, he forgot to bring his camera. So, the lesson is…………you get what you paid for. In your case, we did it right.
Again, beautiful job.

Elizabeth and Adam had their wedding on the family farm out in West Virginia. The property was was absolutely STUNNING, housing a mill, barn, and home that still had rooms so well preserved you’d swear you were back in the days of colony settling. It was an amazing mix of preservation and renovation, certainly award worthy. The wedding? Casual feel, with simple home made details, and lots of character.
Elizabeth was a bridesmaid in Marisa’s wedding years ago. So naturally I was thrilled to shoot this wedding, and see lots of familiar faces. Just like Elizabeth and Adam, Marisa and Joe’s wedding was exceptionally unique.
I haven’t even finished editing this wedding yet, but here are some of my favorites.
